How the casting database works

The ArtMedia actor database brings together the academy's students and graduates. Every profile lists age, height, city, languages, stage and on-camera experience, a photo portfolio and a showreel link — so a director or casting director finds the right type within minutes.

Combine the filters to narrow the search: for example actors aged 18-25, based in Baku, with on-camera experience. Once you have a shortlist, contact us — the academy arranges the meeting and the test shoot.

Frequently asked questions about the actor database

How do I get into the database?

Every current or former student of the academy can open a profile. After signing up you add photos, height and weight, languages and a showreel link from your dashboard; the profile appears in the catalogue once it passes moderation.

Which photos does a profile need?

At least one headshot and one full-length shot. Photos should be no older than six months, taken in natural light without heavy filters or make-up — a casting director needs to see you exactly as you will look on set.

How does a casting invitation arrive?

The academy selects and submits the actors who match the project brief. Suitable actors are contacted by phone or email, and a test shoot is then scheduled.

Is the service paid?

Opening a profile in the database is free for students of the academy. Casting submissions and management terms are agreed separately, depending on the project.
